Marianne has been practicing in the field of entertainment and intellectual property law for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in advising, drafting and negotiating deals on all aspects of the creation and worldwide exploitation of live stage performances and events, immersive and interactive experiences, as well as television, films, new technologies and music. She provides practical, solution-oriented legal advice aimed at developing long-term business relationships.

 

During her career, both as in-house counsel and in private practice, Marianne has managed significant Canadian and worldwide copyright and trademark portfolios. She has been responsible for writing and negotiating multiple license agreements and co-branding agreements.

 

Prior to joining St. Lawrence Law Firm, Marianne managed all aspects of the protection of intellectual property assets within Cirque du Soleil's legal team, in addition to supporting the business development, management, integration of subsidiaries and acquisitions teams. She began her practice with major national law firms, including Gowlings WLG.
